Overview and outcome

Our 1-day Massage for Beginners Course is an introductory holistic massage taster and is designed for anyone. It’s perfect for those who want to learn about body massage and how to perform the basic movements and sequence on your partner, friends and relatives without having to commit to a fully accredited qualification.

This one-day beginner's massage course is ideal for anyone who wants to learn techniques to kick start their knowledge of massage and have the ability to know how to provide a massage properly. This is also for other professionals and newly qualified complementary therapists to try a taster massage course. By the end of this fun and informal day you will be able to perform a confident and effective basic massage routine on your partner, family and friends, and you will be awarded a Bodyhealththerapies certificate of attendance.

Holistic (also known as Swedish) Massage involves the manipulation of the body’s soft tissue (i.e. the skin, muscles, tendons and ligaments) using the hands in a gentle, flowing massage technique that uses varying degrees of pressure and stretching movements. It is most commonly used for relaxation, improving well-being and lymphatic drainage.
